Happiness Project
The happiness project was all about how to become happy and ow it affected you. We learned about all the positive effects of happiness and what it does for you like the fact that being happy could prevent you from dying because if your depressed and are constantly working you could actually fall dead. During this project we also visited the deer park monastery and got to see the monks and how they lived their life and how connected it was to nature and how they always seemed happy even when they where sad.
I thought that this project was cool at first learning about how being happy could physically affect you and make you happy but as we progressed with the project it got really boring. Meditating was really weird and i absolutely hated it because it was just a waste of time because it didn't seem to make very many people happy in class it just seemed to make them bored and eager to do something. I also think that the monastery was pretty cool and was like a once in a lifetime opportunity and was really cool to be there. |
Romeo and Juliet Hat
During this project we had to work with a partner to create a hat that represented a character in the play Romeo and Juliet. We where assigned Sampson and created him with a fiery head with some beads hanging. We made him like this to show that he had a fiery temper and was not one to be messed with because he was super feisty.
I thought that this project was pretty fun because it allowed us to use some creativity while doing the project by using our own perspective of the character. I didn't get the full enjoyment of the project though because i was absent towards the beginning of the project but what i was here for i thought was pretty fun. |
Snapshot Comic Strip
In class we had IR assignments which where assignments where we read a book then completed a mini project that involved the book. This project was about creating a comic strip for a scene of our book. The comic strip had to have 8 scenes that involved the book and was made so we could express what we saw in the book in a comic trip.
I enjoyed this but wasn't very happy with my final work because i wasn't a very good drawer and i think it turned out bad. I did enjoy getting to put what i saw happening onto paper and express what i thought was happening. I think that this should have been slightly different because not everyone is good at drawing so it made this project difficult. |
Movie Poster
In class we had IR assignments which where assignments where we read a book then completed a mini project that involved the book. For this book we had to do a mini project which was making a poster for the books movie that you made up. The poster had to have the books name a picture and a catchy line.
I enjoyed this project a lot because i felt like the book i was reading really needed a movie and one hadn't been made yet. This project allowed me to go step by step and make the movie myself and allow me to create a poster to advertise my movie. It was also really cool to draw Lord English. |
Character Portrait
In class we had IR assignments which where assignments where we read a book then completed a mini project that involved the book. Once we finished our book we had to complete a mini project and for this part we had to create a sketch of one of the characters in the book. In this sketch we had to have a large picture of our character and go into a lot of detail with the drawing.
I thought that this project was okay because although fun at first i wasn't very good at drawing so it was hard to draw the picture. Since i wasn't good at drawing i decided to take another approach on the project and made a paper cut out of the character with a cool background. There wasn't enough space taken up by my character so i decided to add a few things that connected to the character to take up more space. |
